Aiming to please you, the consumer, we serve only Arabica beans.
We offer the highest quality coffee beans on the market and strive to have the freshest coffee available.

ROASTING DESCRIPTIONS

At this time, these are the roasts that The Coffee Cabin offers. Available for "Straight" varieties, only*.

Light Roast: A light roast will resemble the color of milk chocolate or lighter, and the coffee will retain most of it’s natural sweetness.

Medium Roast: A medium roast is generally a rich brown color, between a dark chocolate and a milk chocolate color. Some may refer to this as a “half city roast”. It will have a bright acidity with a lighter “body” in the cup. Our medium roasts are roasted to approximately 380 degrees F.

Dark Roast: A dark roast will have a dark brown to black color, the beans will be slightly oily and somewhat shiny. It is lower in it’s acidity, has a heavier body and can still maintain it’s natural sweetness. Our dark roasts are roasted to approximately 400 degrees F.

*NOTE:  Our blends are roasted to deliver the optimum flavor, therefore, we do not offer a choice in the roast.

All of our regular and decaffeinated varieties are available by the half-pound and one-pound bag.

REGULAR STRAIGHTS:
Colombian Supremo, smooth textured coffee with a full body and sweet finish.
Costa Rican Tarrazu Fruita de Oro, A classic--full body with a slight chocolaty flavor, sweet and grown at very high altitudes.
Kauai (from Hawaii), This coffee is very mellow--we prefer it at a dark roast.

Organic Peru La Florida, sweet and balanced cup--perfect for any coffee drinker.

Tanzanian Peaberry, sharp acidity with nice flavor and body.
Zimbabwe AA Estate, winy and highly acidic with great body and character.

REGULAR BLENDS:
Espresso Blend, not for the wimpy coffee drinker! (For the sake of truth in advertising, I must tell you that in our espresso blend, we do use a robusta bean.)
Fireside Brew, roaring fire, good company, great coffee.
Front Porch Blend, the perfect complement to a rocking chair on the veranda.
Morning Mist, lift that early morning fog gently with a cup of our “morning mist“.

Neuse River Blend, whether canoeing, or camping on the couch--this coffee is a kick.
West Coast Blend, more along the lines of those Seattle coffees.

DECAFFEINATED STRAIGHTS:
Colombian Taloca MC, like it‘s caffeinated counter-part, it is smooth textured and full bodied.
Costa Rican SHB MC, Another classic from Costa Rica, grown at high altitudes with a sweet, full bodied flavor.
Kenya AB MC, another mellow bodied coffee with somewhat of a sweet lemony finish.
Sumatra Mandheling GR1 MC, another fine offering from Indonesia, perfect any way it’s roasted. Full bodied and earthy with a natural flavor that exceeds ones expectations.

DECAFFEINATED BLENDS:
Colombian Light*, for those who would like a bit of caffeine and an abundance of great taste, this coffee is for you.
                                 --*75% less caffeine than our regular Colombian.

Fireside Brew, another roaring fire, more great company--less jitters.

Front Porch Blend, on the front porch, or at the kitchen table, this coffee will complement your day--without bouncing you off the walls.
Morning Mist, our decaffeinated variety may not lift the mist, but it will make you think it did. With such great flavor, you'll never miss the caffeine.
Neuse River Blend, the great outdoors, great coffee, no caffeine.
West Coast Blend, even those Seattle coffee lovers like their coffee without the caffeine at times... still a great cup of coffee.

GREEN COFFEE BEANS
All of our straight coffees and blends are available in green form for the coffee connoisseur that prefers roasting their own coffee at home.
Green coffee selections are available in one-pound and five-pound bags.

Go ahead, grab a cup, kick your feet up and enjoy with a friend or alone. We believe you'll find our coffee so fresh that it must be tomorrow's!

At the coffee cabin, we highly recommend purchasing whole beans only. The flavor and the freshness of the coffee are maintained far longer in whole bean form than if it is pre-ground. If you’re going to pay for a quality cup of coffee, be sure you get it by purchasing a small grinder and grinding your beans only as you need them.

Due to the fact that we have no control over the availability of coffee beans, we may be forced at times to change our offerings. However, please let us assure you that we will always carry only the finest coffee available to us.

Unfortunately, there may be times our prices fluctuate due to circumstances beyond our control--such as a change in market prices, shipping charges, etc.,. Please bear with us and know that we strive to be fair in our business and will only pass along higher prices when it is absolutely necessary.
